Bambi arrives in the desert Southwest

With an advantageous window in the weather, we were able to "rescue" Bambi from his long exile in Jerry's RV and Boat Storage in Colorado Springs, CO.  Now, to be honest, he was tucked into a climate-controlled indoor storage facility where he had little experience of the weather swirling around Colorado Springs; however, we wanted to get him re-positioned in Tucson to allow us an opportunity to take advantage of the great weather in the desert Southwest during the early spring.  We drove up to Colorado Springs, availed ourselves of Trudy's generous (and well-fed) hospitality.  We picked up Bambi and made a two day trip of our return to Tucson, being careful to keep him (and his systems) above freezing temperatures (because he had not been winterized).  We arrived in Tucson without difficulty and celebrated with a "meet and greet" session with friends who had been curious about meeting Bambi and our life when we are on the road.  George and Kathy provided a book, Travels with Max, which featured an Airstream trailer, another Bambi, to furnish inspiration to repeat Steinbeck's Travels with Charlie.  While, we are unlikely to repeat Steinbeck's wanderings, we are beginning to plan for Bambi's next adventures ... stay tuned.
